What
A 2-day workshop funded by the National Science Foundation (DUE CCLI 0923592) organized for active computer science education researchers. The first day of this workshop will be a short course in two or three qualitative research methods. It will not only discuss the theory, but teach participants how to design and conduct studies that involve qualitative techniques. Attendees will leave the first workshop meeting ready to apply the knowledge, and will be expected to apply the knowledge before the second day of the workshop. The second day, seven months later, will focus on analysis of the data collected following the first workshop meeting.
Space is limited. Twenty-three researchers were accepted to participate. Participants are currently working on homework to prepare for the first workshop. Following the first workshop, they will collect data and possibly participate in small group collaborations before the second workshop meeting.
