Lowcountry Computer Science Camp
The Computer Science Department of the College of Charleston is offering a free Computer Science Camp to teach students IT concepts and to build skills in the IT area. Students will learn about computer applications, computer development, software development and career opportunities in computing.

The camp will be held in the J.C. Long Building at the College of Charleston campus for two days: May 13 and 14, 2011. Sophomore and junior high school (private, public and home-schooled) students are invited to apply.

Additional information:

  • We have funding for 20 students!
  • Students will:
    • Develop software using Android tablets.
    • Be exposed to computational thinking and career paths related to computer science.
    • Work with college students and faculty.
    • Keep the tablets after the camp ends!

How to Apply:
Students will need to apply by May 4 and notifications of acceptance will be emailed by May 11.
